After two severe storms, Ellen’s hurt ankle after a run through wind and rain to the safety of a basement, a false alarm where Ellen thought she heard her dad screaming for help, the dog knocking boiling coffee onto me (stomach and nethers...enough said), our plants nearly getting ruined, and some (minor) hail damage on our Airstream, it was time to bake some bagels (which I’ve never done before and wanted to learn how to do) because this all happened before 11 AM. Oh, and there’s still a pandemic. May have some whiskey with my bagel, since I went ahead and squeezed in my run before the next round of severe weather. Mondays, am I right?
