Sardine Sambal
Since #mco #lockdown started many of my Malaysian friends cooked ‘sambal sardin’ as fresh protein may be out of reach on certain days.
Growing up my parents only combined Ayam brand tomato sauce sardines with some onions, tomatoes and chili sauce.
My version here is cooked with sambal tumis ikan bilis. Best eaten with warm rice and leftovers assembled on a sourdough tartine perhaps?
