Mugs Stump and I were climbing the steep section of the Streaked Wall in @zionnps . While neither of us were (are) particularly superstitious or religious, the irony of “bad luck” on a “good day” was not lost on us. As we were aid climbing the prospect of gear failure hovered when we shifted weight to a piece of gear. Surely had a black cat spooked us as we walked under a ladder causing us to drop the mirror, then we would have zippered the pitch and ripped the belay. Lucky for us we were in a cat free zone, our mini ladders were nylon and the only mirror we had was into our soul. Wishing everyone a good day. Reminiscing of days past and fun memories.
