It is the foundation of culture the world over. To understand and appreciate people, food is common ground. Dining is how we connect our families, welcome business opportunities and make amends. For our family, Sunday dinner is a special gathering. Not being a “full” school night we would plan a meal that engaged all of us. These are some of the best times our family has shared. 🥗🥪🥛 Food is also the foundation of our family business in Tuolumne and Mariposa Counties of California. My sister runs the @lucky_buck_cafe in Buck Meadows and @stevenanker keeps going at the Priest Station Cafe. Both are located on HWY 120, the northern road to Yosemite. The old time photo is of Priest Station (circa 1911) with my grandmother Marge in braids. 🧇🧀🥨 With the recent turn of events they have closed till Covid-19 subsides. The immediate concern is the people that work with my brother and sister. They have no work. Also to be aware of are the people that my sister and brother serve. For many people, a meal at the restaurants is an integral part of their diet and a chance to socialize with their community. 🥞🧇🥓 Here in Bozeman, Montana our local restaurants part of why we love this town.
