Washington State has five very prominent volcanoes that are heavily glaciated and significantly higher than their nearby peaks. These five are Mount Rainier, Mount Adams, Mount St. Helens, Glacier Peak, and Mount Baker. They're all beautiful and inspiring, and stand head and shoulders above the non-volcanic peaks of the Cascades. At 10,781 feet (3,286 meters), Mount Baker is the third highest volcano in Washington State.
