FEEL GOOD MORNING STRETCHES ✨😌✨ A quick flow that I do most mornings to wake up the body and get ready for the day 🙌🏼 These stretches are amazing for opening up the front of the body, improving posture & balancing out the body after all the sitting we do throughout the day 👊🏼
👇🏼
Hold each stretch for 10 long deep breaths
(If you’re running short on time, 5 breaths) 👌🏼
▪️SHOULDER ROLLS & NECK STRETCHES
(Be gentle with pressure on your head while stretching your neck. Use the weight of your hand rather than pulling your head down)
▪️ PUPPY POSE
(Nice way to stimulate the ‘energy centre’ of the body. Breath deeply & come up on your finger tips to get full effect)
▪️ LYING CHEST STRETCH
(A great stretch for improving posture & opening up the front of the body. Make sure to slide the elbows up 10cm before you twist to get the right angle at your shoulder)
▪️ KNEELING LIZARD LUNGE & TWISTED KNEELING HIP STRETCH
(So good if you work at a desk all day. Opens up the hip flexors and releases pressure in the lower back. Pull your belly button in for a deeper stretch in the hip)
▪️ CAT COW FLOW
(A nice way to finish this flow with some spinal mobility. Creates space between the vertebrae & releases tension throughout the body)

Try to do this flow as many mornings in the week as you can (even if it is quick) ☺️ Like with all stretching, the more frequently you do these movements, the better you will feel! 👍🏼 #morningstretches #flexibility
