It is strong, flexible, durable, adaptive, and beautiful in its uniqueness and growing capacity. It is an intelligent entity. A learning body. And every day it learns more. I nourish it, I rest it, I love it - and that allows me to challenge it. I am endlessly inspired by what other bodies are able to do, and I find such passion in challenging mine to do those same things and more. To push for new heights. To strive for mastery in ability, craft, and control.  As our connection has evolved over the years, I’ve found that my body is able to listen to what I ask it to do and then act at an ever faster turnover rate. We’ve grown together. We listen to each other. And we hold each other in mutual respect.  You are the owner of your body, but it is also separate from you, and you must understand this delicate relationship. Imagine it as a young disciple of yours. You need to teach it, guide it, lead it to where you ultimately want it to be.. like you would with a child. Be gentle. Be kind. Have patience.  Your relationship with your body takes time and energy to build. You have to invest in it. But it’s these internal relationships - with your own body and mind - that are by far the most important in your life. You’ll find that once you learn how to better understand & cultivate them, building healthy external relationships with the people around you becomes increasingly simple.
