Photo by @michaelclarkphoto | While on a recent climbing expedition in the Khumbu Valley of Nepal with Pasang Lhamu Sherpa Akita, the 2016 National Geographic People's Choice Adventurer of the Year, our Sherpas set up an incredible base camp under Cholatse. We were so late in the season that we had it all to ourselves. This image was created on a cold, clear night right at sunset with solar-powered lamps in each of the tents.
