We visited Aurelia and gave her a very special present - a small Olympic torch that was given to me by some of the pyeongchang Olympic organisers. I told her it represented all the world coming together to become the best within them self and that she was inspiring so many of us around the world. It was very difficult for her to keep her eyes open and she could only say one or two words before sleeping. The mitochondria in her cells isn’t able to produce energy which leads to inner organs shutting down and constant fatigue. Yet somehow she manages to draw in the energy from somewhere and keep fighting.
