I’ve made a lot of hard personal decisions over the last 60 days. I’ve had to put myself first and think about my future. I’ve had to tell people “no I’m not selfish, I’m doing what’s best for me, for once.”

Naturally I’m a giver, I’ll give to those I love no matter the cost to myself. I’ll go without so they can all have what they need. I’ll give my soul away to provide if necessary. I’ve learned the hard way doing this is a mistake. No one ever learns to be independent when I’m always doing and providing.

One day I finally said no more I can’t keep on going in this way. I need to set boundaries and I need to focus on my future. I can’t do everything for everyone. I need to get myself in a better position. As scary as it was I cut a lot of ties and made changes.

I made some goals for myself, short term goals that will lead to the long term. I said I wanted to improve my credit, put money in my savings, and I want to pay off my debt rather than making payments on things.

I got focused and in just 30 days my credit score is up by 20 points, my savings is up by 5 figures, and I paid off 17k in debt. I feel like once I stopped focusing on people who can provide for themselves and put that focus into me things turned around.

Yes it was scary to think of myself and it’s scary to cut ties but I feel good about it now. I’m proud of myself for not falling apart or giving up. I’ve grown so much over the last 60 days. I discovered I’m capable of so much on my own. I didn’t think I could put all the pieces together alone but I have.

Don’t be afraid of the unknown it may be the best thing that ever happened to you. Stop doubting yourself and settling for less than you deserve. At any point in time if you find yourself unhappy change the situation. Your stronger thank you think! Make a decision and go forward, don’t look back there is nothing back there for you. ❤️
