I last saw Peter in February, at an informal dinner hosted by Carla Sozzani at the Azzedine Alaïa Foundation. We laughed late into the night and drank a little too much red wine. Peter picked up our spirits—like he always did—by reminding us how lucky we were to all be together in this life of photography and in Paris, the city he loved so dearly. We toast you, Peter. You always took pictures that made our hearts beat faster.
