Video by Muhammed Muheisen @mmuheisen | People enjoy a boat ride past the world’s only floating animal sanctuary in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. De Poezenboot, seen in the background, is Dutch for “the catboat” hosts around 50 stray and abandoned cats, 17 of which are permanent residents that have lived on the boat for several years. Wow! I was there in 1988. It was closed, but I met some sweet kitties hanging around outside. So glad to know it’s still going strong! ❤️

I went to Amsterdam last month and the bikes and boats were so breathtaking I would totally recommend going there

Amsterdam is great and the cat shelter is great but it seems like there are a lot of natgeo posts about it.
