Last week marked five years since the shooting death of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown by a white police officer in Ferguson, Mo., but some activists say police continue to target African-Americans in the small city on the outskirts of St. Louis.⠀

"As long as they're black, they're going to get harassed," said 27-year-old @tdubbo, an activist and rapper who participated in the protests that followed and still lives in Ferguson. He and other protesters gained prominence during the unrest as part of the #BlackLivesMatter movement, and he was one of several who visited President Barack Obama.⠀

Despite some signs of progress—arrest warrants in Ferguson have dropped 93%, according to recent data from the Missouri courts, and its police force is now 50% black—the city still faces high rates of poverty and unemployment.⠀

Try doing a story on all the kids (actual kids, not "youths" who are already deep in the life) that have been shot this year in north city and north county. Somehow no one ever speaks for them... most recent was a 10 YEAR OLD who got blown off his own porch while talking to his grandpa up on Page.

Why don't you tell the correct story. Yes he was unarmed but he was trying to arm himself with the police officers gun. Thus he got kilt It really sad that anyone had to die in our country because they either don't listen to instructions by the police or they decided to fight the police

Assign a black police officer as partner to every white officer, that might help both reduce abuse when it actually happens and protect the white officers from being accused of racism when they actually have justifiable cause
