victis_vae In Spanish the word for “avocado” is Aguacate”. We never use “abogado” with that meaning, whereas it is true that it means “lawyer”. But nothing to do with the nutritious fruit, but with the verb “abogar”: intercede, speak on behalf and/or defense of others.

meny4meny Just here to point out that avocado en Spanish is not "abogado" (lawyer). They may sound slighly similar, but they are definitely not the same.
