One of my favs 💪🏽 This lift is in my session the day before competition and the aim of the game is SPEEEED. Light and fast! We usually collect data using @gymaware but since I was flying solo in the Gold Coast on this occasion, I judged by feel. The load varies by how I’m feeling on the day, but it usually looks a little something like this 👉🏽2 reps at 40,50,55,50,40. Sometimes when we have the @gymaware on, I get a little carried away with trying to hit new pb speeds, so I add in another cheeky set at 40kg at the end 😈 #stubborn . . We also alternate the lead leg to help prevent power and strength imbalances. Being a javelin thrower we obviously have a dominant side, but we are always trying to keep the body as balanced as possible through numerous exercises in both the gym and at the track. . .
