Created in 2013, Stanley Casselman’s ‘IR-42’ is a striking and colorful acrylic on canvas that bares some similarities to the abstract paintings of another contemporary artist: Gerhard Richter. Similar to Richter, Casselman uses a large squeegee to manipulate the paint on his works’ surfaces, however, the final result is rendered in his own distinct style. Visit our York Avenue galleries through 5pm tomorrow to view this stunning highlight and many more from our 10-18 July Contemporary Art Online sale. 🎨#SothebysContemporary #StanleyCasselman #GerhardRichter

Now that Richter paintings are too expensive they’re going to run the price of Casselman paintings up? Amazing lol.
