Photo by George Steinmetz @geosteinmetz | Moray, the restored Inca-built gardens were carved from natural depressions up to 100ft. deep with terraces reinforced in stone. The design maximized the use of groundwater and provided a humid micro-climate to protect against the freezing nights at 11,500ft. in the Peruvian Andes. @GIAHS
