This morning I woke up at 121 pounds which is an all time high for me!😎

I’ve weighed close to this before but it was when I was depressed and going through a rough time in my life. Most people will look at this picture and think she looks amazing. But it’s not necessarily how we look in the mirror or to others. It’s about how we look at ourselves. The old me would be embarrassed and ashamed of how I look right now. It wouldn’t be acceptable because I don’t have the “shredded look”. 13 pounds up on my tiny 5’1 frame is a lot.

As I continue my fitness journey in life I realize everyday more and more how beautiful life is when you can accept new chapters in your life. Life is not about a DIET. Life is about living a healthy sustainable lifestyle and finding BALANCE along the way.

penelopepew1 I too am 5’1 and have also gained 15 lbs. I used to be a gym rat many years ago. I was so hard on myself to stay fit and gave up doing things that I would have love to do but I was so obsessed with working out that I missed a lot of things I now wish I had attended and done. I may not be at the weight or physical shape that I was earlier in life but I have learned to be kinder to myself and not be so judgmental of my body. I have learned to embrace myself at this heavier weight and also to know that the body that my soul resides in is the vessel. My true self is within. I think you are beautiful at the weight you are in this picture and you are beautiful at your fittest as well.

marly_the_blondie Balance is an important thing and it’s just not sustainable to be in a shredded state all the time. I really admire your commitment to fitness and how many things you’ve learned that you’ve taught us in turn. Being healthy isn’t determined by how many abs you’re showing it’s about how your body runs during the day and whether you’re able to pick yourself up when you’re elderly because you kept a strong body during your life. It’s just a part of who you are do these extreme body preps but it’s not all of you and certainly not the reason you have an audience.

clarabella_makeup I think its more inspiring for women to be honest and real and i feel the same about my own body but i think youre beautiful now and then ...its all about accepting yourself at all stages of youre life and balance and growth is very important for our journey in life!
