nat_vazquez19 " No me hace falta comprar vestidos ni cosa semejantes, porque como "tehuana" ni siquiera uso calzones , ni medias tampoco". - frida kahlo amo el maquillaje , pero se que frida kahlo no es esto , no es una coleccion de maquillaje , que orilla a las mujeres a ser irrealistas , frida fue una mujer fuera de estereotipos en contra del capitalismo, en contra del comunismo , y fue una mujer autentica , no el tipico mujer que seguia la tendencia. Ella no aprovaria esto , que falta de respero , ella era y sera una artista , no una " beauty blogger" ojala la compañia se uviera tomado en cuenta en leer y comprender quien era frida kahlo y no solo poner su imajen en una paleta de maquillaje para ganar dinero.

As a latina woman, i love the representation, especially who someone defined beauty for herself and her curation art in multiple aspects of her life. I dont wear much makeup these days, mostly black eyeliner and lipstick. Was hoping for an actualy lipstick and I'm not into the super popular matte lipstick look. I just turned 40 and needed moisture on my lips like Bite Beauty type nourishing. It's a pass for me as i don't need any of these particular products.

queenallina I'll preface this by saying I'm white, but I think this is a step in the right direction as far as Mexican representation in beauty. Yeah, Frida might've hated this, I'm not saying she wouldn't- but she was such a strong and confident individual, and I think Ulta is smart for using such an icon for inspiration for a collection.

maximehaes “Never apologize for what you are” says Ulta Beauty. And It shows it by... whitening the skin of Frida Kahlo and removing her unibrow. Prefect example of pure marketing without any sense nor meaning. Just making profit using the notoriety of a famous artist. I didn’t know your brand before, but now I do : it’s called bad buzz.

rad.agast i’m assuming the money you’ll be making after profiting off of our culture will go towards the immigrants suffering with their children, right? the ones in cages. frida was anti-capitalism/consumerism. she never would’ve wanted her face to be used for a product while her people are suffering.

miscellanybeauty Calm down people. It's just makeup, homage, inspiration etc. I'm Mexican, I know the story of Frida Kahlo and this does not offend me, it does not steal anything. My culture is intact. If you want to complain, do it with Frida Kahlo CORPORATION. In that if I find irony.
