Photo by Beth Wald @bethjwald | Even as days lengthen and temperatures rise in the northern Hemisphere, winter is on the march in the Patagonia region in the far south of Chile and Argentina, where the first snows are blanketing the rugged peaks of the southern Andes – in this photo, a storm clears in Patagonia National Park in the Aysen region of Chile, a brand new National Park and part of the spectacular Route of Parks. The route is a network of 17 National Parks, loosely linked by roads and ferries, that runs for 1740 miles from Puerto Montt to Cape Horn at the tip of South America.
