guanicoe), a wild camelid native to South America, pauses
in the steppe landscape below the snow-covered peaks of the Jeinimeni Range in Patagonia National Park in the Aysen Region in southern Chile, where winter is on the march and the first snows are blanketing the rugged peaks of the southern Andes. Patagonia National Park is a brand new national park and part of the spectacular Route of Parks, a network of 17 National Parks, loosely linked by roads and ferries, that runs for 1740 miles from Puerto Montt to Cape Horn at the tip of South America.
