AGILITY TRAINING!!

I trained and competed in track and field athletics for over a decade and agility exercises were a key part of my training regime. Throwing it back to Thailand working alongside @coach_mariani on some awesome agility routines.

I want to start focusing a lot more on functional movement, mobility and agility training. Plus this workout is SO MUCH FUN! And all you need is some tape or chalk to map out a 4-square grid on the ground. Feels like hopscotch, will a little more razzle dazzle. Hop-shotoftequila if you will. Perform each exercise for 30 sec - 1 min, 3 rounds 💪

Agility is the ability to move quickly and easily. It’s important to practice agility movements and train your body to move quickly and change directions with ease. Keeping your centre of gravity aligned (maintaining a proper posture - core and torso tight and straight) as opposed to moving your entire body will allow rapid change of direction. The 4-square drills performed at the beginning of the video are ideal for footwork, speed and stability practice.

Agility training offers a range of benefits Including improving balance, coordination, control and flexibility, increasing mind-body connection and as a form of HIIT training, it’s also a great fat burner.
