Make a list of all your investments, savings, pensions, assets and debts. There’s over £15 billion of unclaimed financial assets in the UK in old and forgotten accounts, so dig them up! ➡️ Where does it all go? Go through your bank statements & credit card bills and list out your expenditure, breaking it down into key categories. This will raise your awareness of where your money goes whether it’s food, travel, clothing or even your daily coffee habit. ➡️ What matters most? Work out what your priorities in life are and how money factors into these. How much money do you need to help achieve your goals? As a result, set down financial targets listed under monthly or yearly deadlines. ➡️ What’s going to screw it up? We all make mistakes, we are human! Reflect on your own personality and how this could impact your financial success. Identify weaknesses such as unconscious spending and work out strategies to overcome these. ➡️ Why wait? There’s no benefit to holding off from working towards financial goals. Even if a plan isn’t perfect, it’s better than nothing.
