“He had such beautiful energy. He’s intelligent. He’s radiant. He’s a superhero,” said Angelique Smith at her son Nipsey Hussle’s funeral on Thursday. The funeral was held in Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles and was packed with thousands of mourners for Nipsey, the Grammy-nominated rapper who was shot and killed in South Los Angeles, the same neighborhood where he grew up and was seen as a hero. Hip-hop luminaries including @スヌープ・ドッグ, @yg and others spoke at the memorial, billed as a “celebration of life.” @hellorozette captured this photo of fans outside Staples Center.
