@betoorourke formally launched his presidential campaign with three rallies across #Texas on March 30. On Saturday morning, he held a rally in his native El Paso, just blocks from the U.S.-Mexico border; later in the day, he traveled to the historically black Texas Southern University, before a nighttime event in Austin. The three-term Congressman, who nearly upset Sen. Ted Cruz in November, has visited nine states since joining the crowded field of Democratic presidential hopefuls more than two weeks ago, @apnews reports, promising to return home for an official kick-off.
