Starting my Monday off with a little extra room for the heart to breathe and breathe well. It makes for a brighter week ahead. Self-care is good and necessary. Sometimes we can be our own harshest critics and it makes it challenging to receive positive constructive criticism that helps us grow and refine because we’re already so hard on ourselves. Each of us have unique gifts, they’re beautiful, they set you apart, and they also need maintenance and work at times too. Our strengths can also be weaknesses just as our weaknesses can transform themselves into new strengths. And just because growth is needed, it doesn’t mean anything is inherently wrong with you whatsoever or that what you have or who you are is flawed. We’re always growing and works in progress, we all have to learn how to fine tune the gifts we have as well as learn how we can harmonize those very gifts with others in their differences and contrasts. Often when I write, these are my own notes to self, but hopefully they might resonate with others on this wild wonderful complex journey through the human experience and life.
