The time for what matters most - spending time with loved ones, unwinding time, creative time, or whatever it is that refuels your soul - rarely seem to just naturally happen. The clangor of the endless to-do list, daily grind and practicalities of the day will always compete for these spaces, and sometimes those things that we “must” do need to be laid to rest on a desk for awhile so we can free ourselves to be reminded of why we tend to those responsibilities in the first place. One aspect shouldn’t drown out the other, there is a harmony between the two, but in my opinion, each is best served in separate times and spaces. I highly regard the responsible soul and I also regard the necessity of play. The adult and the child within each of us that balance each other well.
