Embattled utility company Pacific Gas & Electric Corp. inched closer to taking responsibility for America's deadliest #wildfire in a century, @apnews reports, saying it is “probable” that one of its transmission lines sparked the Camp Fire late last year. Firefighters had located the fire's start near a tower on PG&E’s Caribou-Palermo transmission line; the cause of the blaze remains under investigation. These photographs from November show the remains of a vehicle and burned trees in the Paradise area. Many residents of the town, which had few roads out, were trapped in gridlock as they attempted to escape when fire struck on Nov. 8. Some left their cars and fled on foot.
