I remember falling over as a little girl and cutting my knee, it hurt so bad but it wasn’t until I saw gravel and blood in my knee that I cried my eyes out. The sight of it made it so much worse than what it really was. But the more we experience pain the stronger we become my darlings, we can learn to accept pain, process it and then act without fear, panic or hesitation. As a woman I can now sit several hours at a time having tattoos without pain relief, if I injure myself I can still walk or drive home to put on dressings and after having surgery I’m up on my feet again the very same day. Pain is good for us, it gives us a way to grow - which is why I’m drawn to bodybuilding, using weights and resistance to strengthen my body and push my limits. I’m frequently told I have a very high pain threshold, I take it as a compliment for everything I’ve overcome ?? ------------------------
