Olivia Colman’s Best Actress win at the #Oscars for #TheFavourite came as somewhat of a surprise. Perhaps to herself, most of all, as she appears to have been among those expecting Glenn Close to finally win. Close has earned seven nominations for an Academy Award, either for Best Supporting Actress or Best Actress, throughout her career, but no wins yet. Colman’s sheer joy and awe at winning was infectious. “This is hilarious,” she told the audience. “I’ve got an Oscar.” Still, she recognized Close: “You’ve been my idol for so long. This is not how I wanted it to be."
