a wander through the city after a check-in on the city cottage - See some of the Renovation Process on the highlights in my profile - i gather some of my best inspiration on walks

I never anticipated it taking this long but old houses (119years old) are full of surprises and I’m quite particular when it comes to having things feel authentic and “just right” for such a sweet little house .
From the first moment I stepped in the door I could see the potential -a turned Victorian newel post and chunky molding (the few scraps left intact) amidst the false ceilings and peach paneling and box store trim. Two and a half years I’m well versed in building terms, salvage yards, obscure hardware shops, the odd bit of electrical work and I am more in love with our little house than I could have thought possible.... though there is still a long way to go at least it should be habitable soon ?
