when the house is slightly too warm for the plants (mostly because i keep having fires in all the fireplaces) and the entryway becomes a makeshift potting shed.....rather enjoying this temporarily altered space and I’ve been purposely passing through to look at the lady-slipper orchid back there... one from the tables at our wedding five years ago. Once a florist, always a florist and it’s usually the foliage and oddities of the plant world that ignite my imagination most .
