On our first night in Amritsar, India, we had gone to briefly visit the Golden Temple, the most holiest place in Sikhism. When leaving around 1am, Ram @kewalmauryatravels had the unpleasant experience of his fine dress shoes being taken where we’d left them at the entrance - I learned later that such an act is a sign of good fortune. My shoes were not stolen and I was concerned for Ram as he walked barefoot next to me to the nearby hotel. It seemed a bit of his good fortune spread...across our hotel entrance was a gentle gentleman in his rickshaw, kindly allowing me to take his portrait while he waited for customers, in the craziest of blue light ever.
