#Bestof2018 Earlier this year, a group of Queen Victoria’s dazzling jewels was loaned by a private collector to Kensington Palace following arrangements negotiated by Sotheby’s. Amongst these marvellous pieces was a tiara designed by Prince Albert for Queen Victoria and made by the Queen’s jeweller Joseph Kitching in 1845. The superb emerald and diamond tiara features in the ongoing ‘Victoria Revealed’ exhibition, exploring the fascinating life of the British monarch. Last year, a replica of the tiara was worn by actress Jenna Coleman, featuring in the Christmas storyline for the TV series ‘Victoria’. The equally magnificent Fife tiara, set with in excess of 200 carats of diamonds, was allocated permanently to @HistoricRoyalPalaces for display at Kensington Palace as part of Sotheby’s negotiations. #BeyondtheAuction #QueenVictoria #KensingtonPalace
