How many of us fall asleep not worrying about if we can go to the store the next day and pick up food or buy a new shirt just for “fun” without thinking? When you think about how much abundance we have: shelter, food, clothes and extra dollars to spend on “things,” and then how little the most vulnerable experience, something feels like it needs to be refocused and re-evaluated. Why them and not me?

When you’re giving a donation or in this case an animal to bless a family & community, you’re really giving them hope, a future and a message that they are loved and seen. People (complete strangers) are praying and caring for them, and that gives people what this season is about (hope).
