Grace is the opposite of what we deserve.
When I thought my ways were better.
When I chose my own personal satisfaction over what God wanted for me.
When I held on to anger and unforgiveness.
When I needed approval from others.
When I let the world tell me my worth.
When I let my pride take over.
When I didn’t deserve it at all...
He had grace upon grace for me.
Because here’s the thing, we’re never going to “perform” or be perfect.
I learned the heart of Jesus and who I DON’T need to be for Him.
I don’t need to earn His love or work for His approval.
The earthly world teaches you those things.
That you’ll be unloved, shamed, “unfollowed” and outcasted.
The heavenly world says you are forgiven, you are welcome with all of your mess, you are clean, worthy and honoured by a God that went in your place, for your sin.
He willingly went to the cross for sins He knew I would commit long before I was even born.
The same sin x sin we may commit everyday. He gives you grace x grace.
It’s always available to you.
