Cycle syncing recipe for your luteal phase 👇✨

Today’s #WellnessWonders episode is a nourishing, hearty dish that makes a great side to your favourite protein or as a savoury dessert on its own!

In the luteal phase (that’s the phase right before menstruation) our glucose & calorie demands go up which is why we get cravings (but our body needs complex carbs that won’t spike our blood sugar) so I love root veggies, pumpkin, squash etc.

RECIPE
Slice 1 acorn squash (remove seeds)
Cover in 1-2 tbsp of avocado oil or butter
Drizzle maple syrup over your squash
Season with salt, pepper & cinnamon
Toss that all up with your hands
Bake at 400 for 40 minutes
Sprinkle some thyme, pomegranate and goat cheese on top for a festive touch and added flavour!
