My #WellnessWonders series is back for a 2nd time and this year I’m excited to bring you more nourishing recipes, treats and holistic tips to keep wellness a priority during the busy holiday season 🎄
The holidays are filled with treats (and while I don’t restrict and enjoy those foods in moderation) I do prefer refined sugar feee snacks to fuel me. Prioritizing protein any time I can to support my mood, blood sugar, energy levels and hormones is the move.
Enter: GINGERBREAD PROTEIN BALLS 😍👏
Combine all of these ingredients in a bowl:
1 cup gluten-free oats
2 scoops chocolate protein powder (I use @atplabs dark chocolate beef protein powder that’s dairy-free but use what you like)
3 tbsp nut butter of choice
2 tbsp of coconut milk
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp sea salt
Roll into balls and place in a glass container. Pop these in the fridge for 10 minutes then pull them out and drizzle some melted chocolate (I love @enjoylifefoods chocolate). Pop them back in the fridge for a few minutes and then enjoy!!
I keep these in the fridge and pop one in my mouth whenever I’m craving a little chocolate fix. These make a great little gift to drop off to a friend or neighbour during the holidays too! 🥰 #holidayrecipes #holidaytreats #healthyholidays #lutealphasesnacks #cyclesyncing #proteinballs
