Photo by @hannahreyesmorales. My beautiful Philippine Islands. From above, I could see what the sun was touching, and on the same flight I also saw the mega city that is Manila. Seeing both vistas on the same hour made me feel so connected to the land of my birth. The Philippines, like many places, is a land of contradictions, and understanding them helps me understand my own identity, my own roots.
