Combining art and science, neuroscientist Dr. Greg Dunn and Dr. Brian Edwards - an applied physicist - invented a technique known as reflective microetching, which illustrates the complexity of the brain as it responds to various activities. In ‘Self Reflected’, a slice of the human brain ? is shown at 22x scale, reflecting what is occurring in our own minds as we in fact observe the work of art itself. This work and three others by Dunn and Edwards will make their auction debut tomorrow in our sale dedicated to The History of Science & Technology. #sothebysscience
