We did it! Today we joined @extinctionrebellion and thousands of activists from across the country as we took control of five bridges in central London. It was the greatest act of mass civil disobedience in this country for decades. Whilst todays events may have inconvenienced some people, it is nothing compared to the challenges that threaten our future. We are at a breaking point. For far too long governments have avoided action on climate change by banking on the fact that young people don’t understand the issues. We stood in solidarity today to make it clear that we understand what is happening, that we are scared for our future and we won’t stand by and be passive citizens anymore.
