This morning we went to Downing Street with @extinctionrebellion to present Theresa May with a Declaration of Rebellion. Climate change is a threat so urgent that it requires radical activism: for people to be brave, to draw attention to the issue and to put pressure on politicians to protect our future. So much of the most important social change has come through direct action & peaceful protest. ✊? Our government's abject failure to protect citizens and the next generations from unimaginable suffering brought about by climate breakdown and social collapse is no longer tolerable. We believe it is our duty as citizens to rebel using peaceful civil disobedience when faced with criminal inactivity by its Government. The recent budget didn’t even mention climate change - that is unacceptable. We want no fracking, no coal, to tax emissions; a zero carbon economy by 2025.

It felt so empowering to be part of direct action this morning. We can’t wait to be part of Rebellion Day next Saturday 17th November and if you feel passionate about this we really hope you will join us. Enough is enough ✊?✊?✊?
