On a visit last night to Pushkar, I became rather numbed by just how many photographs one can make of camels laying about the ever presence of tourist ‘clickers.’ Within a few hours I began missing the Thar Desert. Today we drive back north, posthaste after camel inundation, to clear the mind by these centuries-old wells, abandoned by humans, adored by buffaloes, and me.
