?I can’t believe my BIRTHDAY here!!! _
??Every year my mom would call me at 3pm central. As a child she would tell me the story in the morning. She never ever missed a year or missed the time. She would call me and tell me this story word for word. ?When she was pregnant with me she was already overdue and my dad was eager to see his baby. My dad had heard that if she got scared enough it would put her into labor so he decided to take her to see a scary late night movie. ?‍♀️ I believe they saw “Close Encounters of the 3rd kind” After the movie nothing happened but late in the night my mom started going into labor. She woke up my dad and said it’s time but my mom being the diva that she was had to be beautiful while in labor lol. ??‍♀️She got in the shower put on full make-up and put her hair in hot curlers. While she curled her hair she realized her toe nails needed a touch up. Since she couldn’t reach her toes she had to get my then frantic dad to help. She put my dad to work and made him remove and polish her toe nails in red of course. ??After they dried she went to the hospital and 8 hours later at exactly 3pm central time I was born. ??
When I got older she told me about how when my dads family came to see me the first thing they did was pulled the blanket off my toes and said “this is not Kiki child she doesn’t have his toes. My mom kicked everyone out allowed no other guest. Told my dad to leave as well he was embarrassed and heartbroken pleading with her. She named me after her so I got her last name I was born Mireya Garcia with no father on my birth certificate. After a few weeks my dad would not give up and they reconciled, my birth certificate was redone and I was renamed Mariza Villarreal a name my dad chose and his last name and the world was right again lol.
Every year she retold me this story, she’s been gone almost 13 years now but every year I still look down at my phone hoping it’s gonna be her telling me this story. I used to hate hearing it now I miss it so much. But that’s how I got here lol a scary movie. ?
