Photos by @Tim Laman. Many of you have asked how I got the bird of paradise images up in the canopy..... so here you are. To capture the images of Red Birds-of-Paradise displaying (and the occasional hornbill) in my recent posts, I scaled a tree using ropes and ascenders, and
built a very small blind in the canopy where I could anchor in my RED camera and tripod
and sit (while still tied in of course). In this first shot, I’m just starting to construct my
