“I go outside to photograph, 10 hours a day for three months. I know no one in the city. It becomes a project about the passing encounters I have with people on these long walkabouts by myself–about forming a bond with someone on the spot in the alleyways, on the train tracks, on the sidewalks. Someone like this boy. I meet him in an alleyway by the Chao Phraya River. Monsoon season. I see the puddle behind him, how he keeps glancing over his shoulder. I give him my camera, and he photographs me. Then I see this man walking over, crossing the puddle. I take the photo and continue deeper down the path.” - @jacobauesobolnew
