starting to practice my holiday table decor - all year I keep little mental and visual notes of things I love, things I encounter, color, texture, makers, materials - inspiration comes from everywhere and I get so excited to decorate our holiday tables. Nerdy, yes! but I do it because I find pleasure in the process and delight in creating a specific, temporal space for our gatherings .
a bit squirrely, I gather and pile on my desk, pockets jingling with collected odds and ends, serving as inspiration, until it materializes into something all its own
