Photo by @FransLanting At the edge of an alpine lake in the high Sierras a fellow photographer crouches down to capture a new image. We camped at the edge of that lake and enjoyed each other’s company as much as we relished the scenery. Photography got an early start in California’s Sierra Nevada, but it was Ansel Adams’ images that elevated scenic photography to the level of fine art. Quite befitting that the area in which we camped now bears his name. The Ansel Adams Wilderness is a tribute to one man’s legacy and an inspiration to me and scores of other photographers.
