This panorama shows the expanse of this massive glacier which spans a large area at the end of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. I made this image several years ago and given the acceleration of glacial retreat in recent time I imagine it looks quite different today. Last year a very large iceberg separated from the tongue and floated into Lago Grey. These incredible creations of nature are changing at alarming rates all around the world.
