"Winter was coming to an end and I really wanted to capture the peaks of Mount Buffalo while it still had snow. The sun disappeared and the temperature dropped from 6 degrees Celsius to -2 degrees Celsius with half an hour. Planning for an astrophotograph lead to this very point that darkness fell and the hours of driving, hiking and waiting came down to these vital few moments to compose and capture the image.
The Cathedral at Mount Buffalo could only be more impressive with the Milky Way arching over her peak. This 1700m (5600ft) alpine region is one place I can’t wait to hike again." - Fitzy at @apertureaustralis
